Alexi Zawadzki,
President and Chief Executive Officer
Alexi has over ten years of experience in the implementation and management of multidisciplinary engineering and environmental projects relating to the energy sector. He was the founder and former Location Manager of the Vancouver office of a multi-national engineering company (WorleyParsons). He holds a masters degree specializing in Alpine Hydrology (1997) and has also completed the Project Management Program at Mount Royal College (2003). Alexi has experience in project management, permitting, environmental management, public consultation, business development, and financing. He is primarily responsible for business strategy, project management and financing for Swift’s portfolio of projects, in addition to domestic and international business development.
Dr. Andy Robinson, Vice President, Environment
Andy has over ten years of experience managing large environmental projects as well as the
environmental aspects of infrastructure development. His experience covers a wide range of projects in several jurisdictions, including projects in the energy and transport sectors. He has recently acted as an expert advisor to senior management at BC Hydro for complex environmental liabilities and is very familiar with British Columbian and Canadian environmental legislation. Andy holds a doctorate degree in geochemistry. His primary responsibility will be the successful completion of permitting needs for Swift Power’s portfolio of projects.
Don Hague – Vice President, Engineering
Don holds a Masters Degree of Business Leadership and is a Professional Engineer in BC. He has more than 20 years experience in the power generation, transmission and distribution business in the development and operations of small and large scale projects, from 50 kW net metering applications through to 2100 MW base load power stations. During his career he has worked on technologies ranging from nuclear, coal, biomass, geothermal, gas, waste-to-energy, and pumped-storage. He now prefers to focus on hydroelectric generation to meet our future electrical energy needs.
Don has led the preliminary and detailed engineering of several small hydro projects from project initiation through to environmental approvals. He has prepared bankable feasibility studies, EPA submissions, construction tender proposals and participated in various non-recourse project debt and equity financings for major capital projects.
